Surveillance Task Force
The aim of the Surveillance Task Force is to provide evidence to support advocacy to establish musculoskeletal health as a public health priority. The evidence should also support improving musculoskeletal health across all societies and eliminating inequity by improving our understanding of factors that influence musculoskeletal health.
The objective is to increase knowledge of the suffering and cost to society associated with musculoskeletal conditions through:
• Routine collection of national data that appropriately reflects the suffering and cost to society associated with MSC
• Readily accessible national data that reflects the suffering and cost to society associated with MSC
• Identification of disparities in musculoskeletal health and to consider the determinants
A Survey module for musculoskeletal conditions has been drafted and piloted in the Solomon Islands. A report on the outcome of the pilot will be published during 2018; meanwhile a copy of the draft survey can be found by following the link -
