It is with much sadness that we wish to inform you of the death of Professor Marie Solange Doualla. She passed away on December 17, 2018 in Bordeaux after a short illness. Dr. Doualla was actively involved in the Global Alliance for Musculoskeletal Health (G-MUSC) (formerly known as the Bone and Joint Decade (BJD) as a member of the International Coordinating Council.  She was President-Elect of the African League Against Rheumatism.

Dr Doualla was a healthcare practitioner specializing in rheumatology and worked at the Hospital General de Douala in the Cameroon and was Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology at 2 State Universities (University of Yaoundé I and University of Buea, Cameroon).  She trained initially in Cameroon and undertook her rheumatology fellowship in Paris and Ivory Coast.
