#Mobility is Medicine, GMUSC theme for Bone and Joint Awareness Week 2018

#Mobility is Medicine, the GMUSC theme for 2018, aligns with data recently released by the The World Health Organisation on the 5th September this year in The Lancet Global Health.

These data show that more than one in four adults globally (28% or 1.4 billion people) are physically inactive and in some countries this figure can be as high as one in three adults. They also show the need for all countries to increase the priority given to national and sub-national actions to provide the environments that support physical activity and increase the opportunities for people of all ages and abilities, to be active every day http://www.who.int/ncds/prevention/physical-activity/en/

During Bone and Joint Awareness Week this year we urge Everyone Everywhere Everyday to increase their physical activity and to share their experiences through Facebook and Twitter @MSKHealthGlobal #Mobility is Medicine

Let’s try and reduce our time on the sofa, take more physical breaks at work, walk part of the way to work, and remember that ….

Small steps can lead to BIG CHANGES!
