The achievements of the first ten years have been significant. For the next ten years the mission must continue to ensure that musculoskeletal conditions are among the leading health concerns in the minds and actions of policy makers throughout the world.

A Strategic Action Plan has been developed that will set the direction for 2010 to 2020.

The Strategic Action Plan was presented at The Bone and Joint Decade World Network Conference in Lund, in September 2010.  The individual delegates and representatives of National Action Networks and supporting organisations discussed the Strategic Action Plan in detail.

These round table discussions identified the most important and feasible actions to gain priority for bone and joint disorders; they will now be worked on at national, regional and international level.

A copy of the Strategic Action Plan can be seen here

Help set the agenda and direction for the second decade, review the Strategic Action Plan and email your comments to the BJD secretariat at [email protected].
